Keep Sunday 15th September 2019 in your diaries – it’s the Cheam Park Celebration of Food and Drink Festival. Opening from 10am to 7pm, there will be many stalls and vendors enticing you with their wares. There are also competitions and various stage acts.
Entry is FREE all day, parking is limited and you are advised to walk to the venue, but please remember that this is a residential area and sensible parking is encouraged.
There is also a “Kid’s Zone” offering 50m of inflatables, Circus Skills, Craft Workshops, Face Painting and Festival Glitter.

Plant Hunters Weekend – 25th, 26th & 27th August – 11am – 5pm
Celebrating the lives of some of Britain’s most intrepid plant hunters, Tom and friends are dressed in character to lead a guided tour of the World Garden between 1.30 – 3.30pm – join at any time! Visitors are offered a unique glimpse into the past to experience an authentic plant hunter’s expedition camp, complete with plant presses, roaring fire, porters and canvas tents.
Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCAR) will have some special animals and reptile guests joining us during our garden tour. SCAR expert handlers during the tour will showcase different animals to see amongst the continents to truly bring the tour alive.
Special Event – Adults – £10. All children FREE entry – (under 15)

Some Community news for our readers – there is a Community Safety Day for Older People on Thursday 2nd August 2018.
There will be over 30 organisations in attendance to offer you FREE help and advice on how to stay safe in and out of your homes and to avoid becoming a victim of fraud and scams.
The event is being held at the Community Space inside Sutton Library from 10am – 1pm.
As part of our Community news service, we are pleased to advise that volunteers are required to assist in a major tree planting session in Cheam Park Recreation area on Saturday 24th February 2018.
Come and join Friends of Cheam Park and Cheam and Sutton Rotary Club in planting over 200 trees in Cheam Rec.
We will meet at Cheam Park Café at 10:00 and expect to finish by 1pm
Please bring a spade with you if you have one!

Come and support the Cheam Scream, in Cheam Village on Friday 27th October, between 3pm and 5pm.
The Cheam Scream is a fun halloween trail around Cheam Village visiting the shops and business of Cheam looking for treats and sweets. Please come dressed in your best, spookiest outfits! There will be story times, cake decorating, making things, photos, colouring, tattoos, and more! Something for the kids to enjoy!
The money raised from the Cheam Scream, will be spent on something in Cheam Park, which is for the benefit of all Cheams children…we shall have to wait and see what it is!
