Dear reader reader, as we slowly slip into Autumn, this is just a small newsletter with a couple of news items.  We are keen to attract more visitors for the Rock n' Roll event on 31st October (see below) and we have been asked to highlight Sutton's Imagine festival of the arts 2015 that has a range of events taking place across the borough.  The survey forms for the public consultation on the future of Sutton's Library Services should be available in the library, but if not, you can use the links in the news story below to complete on-line.  Please share this newsletter with family, friends and colleagues - we need to increase our library and Friends membership numbers.

Sutton Council - making savings from its Library services budget

As we outlined in an earlier post, Sutton Council is reviewing its Library Services in attempt to make further savings from its budget.  As part of the cost-cutting measures, the Council has identified £1m of savings from the annual libraries, heritage and arts budget which currently stands at £4.4m.
